On the 12th February 2020, specialist roofing subcontractors completed an initial safety inspection of the CERC’s roof cladding. As part of this activity, they removed loose materials and secured parts of dislodged cladding. Works will continue as and when it is safe to do so; however, a disruption to those works is anticipated  due to the forecast challenging weather conditions over the coming days.

Waste deliveries and processing continue to be unaffected; however, electricity export to the National Grid remains suspended as a precautionary measure.

As soon as conditions prove safe, Western Power is expected carry out an inspection to determine when electricity export can re-start.
