New COVID legislation
Cornwall
07/12/2021
New legislation came in place
on 30 November, which requires facemasks to be worn in certain settings,
including:
- Public transport
- Shops
- Enclosed shopping centres
- Banks
- Post Offices
Anyone operating this type of business must display a sign requiring people to wear facemasks unless exempt.
Ventilation remains critically important with evidence showing that there is a 70% reduction in the chances of transmission of COVID in well-ventilated settings. Staff when working with colleagues or meeting the public should regularly undertake LFT tests and are advised to get their vaccinations and boosters as soon as they are able.
