Brief Description:
St Dennis Parish Council are seeking a reliable, experienced and self-motivated person to provide high quality administrative support to the Clerk, the Council and its Committees. The candidate will perform a variety of administrative tasks, including, dealing with Parishioners, contractors and other authorities, managing phones calls and emails, scheduling appointments, arranging and attending meetings and assisting in delivery of all instructions of the Council in connection with its functions as a Local Parish Authority.
The ideal candidate will need to have a good all-round knowledge of various office procedures, a high level of computer literacy, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Applicants must have effective organisational skills and be able to prioritise and manage their own workloads to meet deadlines. There is a requirement for excellent verbal / written communication skills and the ability to work well both as part of a team and on their own initiative. Previous experience in senior administration, your own transport and a full clean driving license is essential, Experience in Local Authority work would be desirable.
The successful applicant would be expected to work the occasional evenings and have a degree of flexibility to cover sickness and holidays.
