Update provided by Suez

Phase 1 of the CERC roof repair works is now complete and we are preparing to carry out the second and final phase of repair works which are due to start in May 2021.

To ensure that we can complete this next phase of works as quickly and efficiently as possible, the contractor, VINCI, have requested the opportunity to undertake further weekend working and extended working hours on weekdays, similar to those granted during the construction of the CERC. We are therefore applying to the planning authority (Cornwall Council) for permission for VINCI to work during these additional hours.

If permitted, work would take place on alternate weekends from 05 June to late November 2021 and would be limited to the hours of 07:00 to 18:00. Work on weekdays would be extended from the approved hours of 07:30 to 18:00 to 07:00 to 19:00.

Any potentially noisy activities or other works that could disturb people in the nearby area would not be carried out during these additional hours and VINCI would restrict these to the normal weekday working hours of 07:30 to 18:00.
