A390 Coliza Hill drainage improvement works

St Mewan

22/08/2022

What: Carriageway drainage improvements

Where: A390 St Mewan Dip, St Austell

When: 12th September to 16th December 2022

As part of planned improvement works, traffic management will be in place on the A390 just outside St Austell from Monday 12th September to Friday 16th December while civil engineering works take place. The works will take place using various forms of traffic management, these will include lane closures, traffic lights and road closures of adjoining side roads. To maintain a safe environment for road users and Cornwall Council workforce they will need to implement these measures and the entire extent of the works will be subject to a reduced speed limit of 30mph. Works will be undertaken between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday with some weekends as required. However, due to the open excavations and the need for pedestrian walkways the traffic management will remain in place 24hrs a day for the safety of all road users. As work progresses, traffic management layouts will change so road users need to stay alert when passing through the site. The closure of some side roads will be necessary as the scheme progresses. Advance warning signs will be installed to give road users prior warning. All through traffic will need to follow the diversions in place.
